I tend to believe that we'll see both types of zombies. The fresh ones will probably be slow as the virus figures out how to take control of the host. As the virus adapts to its host or evolves and infects other hosts, it will have better control of the key motor systems and improve the zombie's speed. However, I agree that the zombie will not be able to exceed its hosts physical abilities. I'm also taking into account the physical abilities such as with an adrenaline rush or some sort of PCP high. I just don't think we'll be seeing any super-human zombies in the looming apocalypse.

I've read the "Zombie Survival Guide" and "World War Z" (you should really read the Guide first). My wife and I went out book shopping for next week's vacation and I came home with "Z.E.O. - How to Get A(Head) in Business" and "The Zen of Zombie". I'll let you know how those turn out! There is also a "Zombie's Guide for Zombies" (a dummy's guide-like book), but I decided to save that purchase for a later date.
